Where You Will Live
and What You Can Do...

Bluebirds Unit: Grades 1-2

Sleep like a bird in a giant-sized birdhouse straight out of a dream.  If you are going into the first or second grade, you get to hike and sing all day long. Paddle boats around the bay and if you get too hot, take a swim in the lake (or should we say birdbath?) Enjoy an overnight somewhere special in camp and cook a meal over a wood fire that you helped build.  You’ll stay busy while you make arts and crafts, play games, sing songs, laugh, giggle, and learn about nature.  You’ll like being a Bluebird!

Corral Unit: Grades 3-4

As you might guess by the name, this Western theme unit is the starting point for fun adventures.  Besides the singing, crafts, and playing, you and your friends will do much more!  Hike to fun new places. Row a boat to Echo Bay and sleep on the beach.  Cook a one-pot meal over a fire. Laugh and learn while earning your ranks in the rowboats and funyaks. Challenge yourself and cabin mates with awesome team-building activities on the Clover Patch or at the Low Ropes Course, and if brave enough, fly like an Osprey on the Giant Swing.

Alpine Unit: Grades 5-6

Live in a Swiss shelter and sing all day long in your mountain home.  Paddle in a war canoe that fits 10 people and head down the lake for an overnight and sleep under the stars; cook dinner and breakfast over a fire. Swim off the sandy shores with your new friends and paddle an ocean kayak.  Target your archery ranks. Have a blast unraveling a human knot or other challenges on the Low Ropes Course. Swim, boat, hike, play and laugh all week!

Connemara Unit: Grade 7

In this Irish haven — the highest unit in camp—the Connemara campers live in 2-story towers. Almost any activity is at your fingertips and you and your buddies will get to plan adventures from dawn to dusk. Enjoy a 1- or 2-day overnight on the lake. Sharpen your archery skills and earn ranks. Test your personal limits on the high elements of the Ropes Course. Fun, friends, laughter and adventure are yours when you’re surrounded by deep Irish green!

Trees Unit: Grades 8-9

A time to branch out, gain new friends and have new experiences while sleeping in your lofty tree house.  Challenge yourself and take a ride on the Zip Line at the High Ropes Course.  Harness the wind and ride the sailboats and windsurfers. Work on ranks in archery and canoeing – quite an achievement!  Bake a cake or whatever strikes your fancy over an open fire – increase those outdoor skills on an overnight.  Songs, fun, friends and laughter are all waiting for you in trees.

Kiwan Echo Unit: Grades 10-12

Built in its own bay, Echo really is camp within a camp!  Live in a tepee. Enjoy your own private waterfront where you can swim, canoe, sail or kayak all day long. Try your hand at archery on the Echo target range.  Challenge your mind and body on the High Ropes Course or hike in the wilderness.  At the end of the day, relax around the campfire with new friends and watch the stars.

Sailors Unit: Grades 8 & up

Do you like to go on exciting outdoor adventures? If so, one of the
Outdoor Adventure Programs is for you! You might choose to pack all
your gear onto a horse or repel down a 50-foot cliff; or canoe, sail

or kayak up Lake Coeur d'Alene like a real explorer!

Once your Outdoor Experience is complete you'll cool down for a day
or two in one of the historic boxcars in the Sailors Unit to enjoy the
excitement of regular camp activities.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program:  Grades 11-12

Want to be creative and enthusiastic while taking on added responsibilities? Learn skills in leadership, child development, goal setting, activity planning, group dynamics and outdoor skills. Open yourself to new ideas and gain hands-on experience working with younger kids.

CIT, a nationally recognized course for 11-12th graders, is divided between two summers. CIT is a special time of growth and friendship.
