The dates for "Kids Helping Kids Back to School" Program in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene are

Camp Fire USA Inland Northwest Council is proud to present its

14th Annual "Kids Helping Kids Back to School" Program.

Paper and pencils, notebooks and crayons, rulers and scissors—it’s time to think about going back to school!  Along with the excitement of anticipating a new school year comes the reality that purchasing school supplies for several children can quickly overload the family budget.

Camp Fire USA, along with KHQ and our Success By 6 sponsors AmericanWest Bank, Deaconess Medical Center, Valley Hospital and Medical Center, and the Inland Northwest Dodge Dealers, want to help families who can’t afford school supplies for their children through the 13th Annual “Kids Helping Kids Back to School” School Supplies Drive. This year’s drive is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th and Sunday, August 10th and Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th.

With the average cost of school supplies running $25 to $100 per child, it can be very expensive for parents to buy all the school supplies a child needs. Last year, through the generous donations of the community, the Camp Fire School Supplies Drive was able to help over 1,200 kids in the Inland Northwest get the items they needed to start school.

Since the Camp Fire “Kids Helping Kids” School Supplies drive serves thousands of children, donated backpacks are always in great demand. There is also a great need for scissors, rulers, glue, and college rule paper. Cash donations are always welcome, and the money raised will be used to buy school supplies at discounted rates offered by local businesses.
